Together Frankfort encourages civic engagement through communications and events. We are particularly focused on environmental protection and management, healthcare, campaign finance, preserving democracy, voting rights, and racial discrimination.
Stay informed and get involved
The March 27th Forum covered lots of territory in response to the prompt “Challenging times in America: What can I do?” Speakers and other participants offered a smorgasbord of ways we can get involved to affect change. Here are some organizations and resources you may find helpful.
50501 is a new grass roots organization working to activate individuals in fifty states to uphold the Constitution and end executive overreach. Check their website for information about rallies, including “Hands Off!” April 5 at Frankfort’s capitol.
Forward Kentucky’s website offers lots of news and opinions, especially related to Kentucky.
Mobilize.us is one of the richest resources, offering links to events coming up (with dates and locations) and organizations through which you can get involved and connect with like-minded citizens on a variety of issues.
Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is one of Kentucky’s oldest activist organizations, working to build a commonwealth where everyone can thrive.
League of Women Voters, a non-partisan group that works to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government.
Indivisible Kentucky, which holds our Members of Congress accountable to the principles of democracy and the values of respect, equality, and solidarity.
